Pink Bourbon
Pink Bourbon is a relatively rare variety, believed to be a natural mutation of Bourbon. As the name suggests, the cherries turn a distinct pink color when ripe. Pink Bourbon is primarily cultivated in Colombia, particularly in Huila and Nariño regions. It's prized for its exceptional cup quality, often producing a complex, floral, and fruit-forward coffee. Flavor notes can include jasmine, berries, and tropical fruits, with a juicy acidity and smooth body. Pink Bourbon plants are generally more disease-resistant than traditional Bourbon, but still require careful cultivation. Due to its rarity and excellent cup quality, Pink Bourbon often commands premium prices in the specialty coffee market.
